Seasonal and Specialty Items

Did you know that we offer seasonal and specialty items at our farmers’ markets?  Rover’s K9 Snacks has product that changes with the seasons.  At most markets we offer something different.  It may be a new treat that we are developing or pet bandannas.  Examples of this may be bandannas for an upcoming holiday or a seasonal sports team.  During the summer we have in-season fruits and vegetables that are dehydrated such as cantaloupe.   You never know what you may see when you visit us at a market.  Check our calendar and come see us for a special!

Are Vitamins and Supplements Right For Your Pet?

Many people take dietary supplements or vitamins. And increasingly, they’re likely to give them to their pets, too.

As many as a third of U.S. dogs and cats may receive vitamins or supplements. The most common are multivitamins, supplements to support arthritic joints, and fatty acids to reduce shedding and improve a coat’s shine, according to a 2006 study published in the Journal of the American Veterinary Medical Association. Pet owners also may give probiotics to alleviate gastrointestinal problems or antioxidants to counteract the effects of aging, such as cognitive dysfunction.
